ImageGold Devotion The Euroleague is proud to announce that the finalists for the third edition of the Devotion Marketing Awards are Alba Berlin, Regal F.C. Barcelona and BC Khimki Moscow Region. The Devotion Marketing Awards – Gold Devotion, Silver Devotion and Bronze Devotion – were introduced as a platform to recognise the great and improving efforts that Euroleague teams are making. Due to the great success and interest of more clubs in participating, Euroleague opened this initiative to the Eurocup teams as well last season. Two of the most important points evaluated this year were the improvements in and evolution of marketing plans as compared with other seasons.

The Devotion Marketing Awards seek to recognise the improvements made in the important area of marketing by evaluating strategy, creativity and results, in addition to fostering opportunities to create positive synergies between clubs by sharing knowledge and initiatives with other participating teams. Through this concept, the Euroleague wants to reward those teams that have made extra efforts throughout the season to promote the sport and communicate Euroleague excitement to the world basketball community.

"We are very proud of the participation of all Euroleague and Eurocup teams in quantity and quality terms," Euroleague Marketing Director Pedro Galván said. "This year 35 marketing plans were presented, a 20-percent increase over last season, but more important than the number is the high quality, variety and originality of the projects, giving us a 360-degree view of the marketing area within European basketball clubs."

The Devotion Marketing Awards will be presented at the Euroleague Draw on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in Barcelona.
