OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges each scored 28 points as the New York Knicks dominated the second half to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers 110-93 on Sunday night.
Bridges took over after halftime, scoring 21 of his 28 points in the final two quarters as the Knicks turned an eight-point deficit into a commanding victory. New York shot 64% from the field after the break, finishing the night at 53.6% overall.
Josh Hart contributed 14 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds, while Karl-Anthony Towns posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards despite struggling from the floor. The win kept the Knicks (47-27) firmly in third place in the Eastern Conference.
Deni Avdija led Portland (32-43) with 33 points, while Shaedon Sharpe added 23. The Trail Blazers were in control for most of the first half but collapsed offensively after halftime, making just 14 field goals over the final two quarters.
New York trailed 58-50 at intermission before storming back in the third quarter. Anunoby’s dunk with a minute left in the period capped a 9-2 run, giving the Knicks a 79-78 lead—their first since late in the second quarter.
Bridges continued the momentum in the fourth, leading a 13-2 surge that put the game out of reach. New York outscored Portland 31-15 in the final period, holding the Trail Blazers to 5-of-21 shooting.
Anfernee Simons struggled, finishing with 15 points on 5-of-20 shooting. Portland also missed the presence of injured starters Deandre Ayton and Jerami Grant, who remained sidelined.
Anunoby continued his strong play in the absence of Jalen Brunson, who has been out since March 6 with a sprained right ankle. Over his last four games, Anunoby is averaging 30.5 points per contest.
Landry Shamet provided a spark off the Knicks’ bench, scoring 11 points and hitting three three-pointers. Mitchell Robinson added four rebounds and two blocks in 14 minutes.
New York has won seven of its last ten games. Portland, meanwhile, has dropped four straight and sits outside the Western Conference play-in race.
