Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is dealing with a pelvic contusion and is expected to miss the start of the team’s six-game road trip. NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Curry’s status for the next game against the Miami Heat will depend on how he responds to treatment.

Curry suffered the injury in Thursday’s 117-114 victory over the Toronto Raptors when he landed hard on his tailbone after attacking the basket. He left the game in the third quarter and did not return for the final stretch.

The 37-year-old has been a key part of Golden State’s playoff push, averaging 24.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in 32.2 minutes per game this season. His absence comes at a crucial time as the Warriors (41-30) sit sixth in the Western Conference standings.

Despite missing Curry, Golden State has remained competitive, with Jimmy Butler recording a triple-double to help secure the win over Toronto. The team has been on a strong run since the trade deadline, posting a 16-3 record in their last 19 games.

Curry is traveling with the Warriors to Miami and will continue treatment while the team evaluates his condition. His availability for Tuesday’s matchup against the Heat will be determined based on his recovery over the next two days.

Golden State will monitor his status closely as they navigate a challenging road trip that could impact their playoff positioning.
