Coby White continued his strong scoring run, dropping 31 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 116-110 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night.
The Bulls (28-38) extended their winning streak to a season-best four games, holding on to the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference.
Chicago trailed 92-80 late in the third quarter but responded with a 17-3 run to seize momentum. Brooklyn (22-44) briefly regained a 101-99 lead with under five minutes left, but the Bulls answered with an 8-0 surge to take control for good.
Kevin Huerter and Tre Jones each contributed 18 points, while Julian Phillips had a career night with 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Nikola Vucevic was limited to seven points in 23 minutes, but Chicago’s bench made key contributions to secure the win.
Cam Thomas paced the Nets with 24 points and a career-high 10 assists, but his efforts were not enough to stop Brooklyn’s slump. Nic Claxton added 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Tyrese Martin scored 19 off the bench. The Nets have now dropped 10 of their last 12 games.
Brooklyn built a 12-point lead in the third quarter but struggled once again to maintain its advantage. This loss marked the second straight game in which the Nets squandered a double-digit lead, following a collapse against Cleveland earlier in the week.
Josh Giddey missed the game for Chicago due to a sprained right ankle suffered on Monday. The Bulls hope to have him back during their upcoming six-game road trip.
