Jalen Green scored 29 points to lead the Houston Rockets to a 111-104 win over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, extending their winning streak to four.
Houston improved to 41-25 and remains fifth in the Western Conference, while Phoenix dropped to 30-36, falling further behind in the race for a play-in spot.
Alperen Sengun had 20 points, and Dillon Brooks added 19 as the Rockets took control in the second half. Fred VanVleet returned from a 16-game absence and contributed 10 points in 28 minutes.
Bradley Beal led the Suns with 25 points, while Kevin Durant and Devin Booker each had 19. Phoenix, which had made 20 three-pointers in its last game, struggled from deep, hitting just 10.
The game turned physical before halftime when Steven Adams and Mason Plumlee were ejected for fighting. Adams wrestled Plumlee to the floor, leading to double technicals and automatic ejections.
Houston built a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter, sparked by a 9-2 run that saw Jock Landale convert a three-point play and Brooks score off a Booker turnover.
Phoenix made a late push, cutting the deficit to eight after Beal’s free throws, but Houston held on down the stretch.
The Suns’ shooting woes and turnovers proved costly as they lost for the third time in four games.
