The Minnesota Timberwolves extended their winning streak to three games with a 125-110 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.

Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels led the Timberwolves (35-29) with 29 points each, while McDaniels added 10 rebounds. Julius Randle came close to a triple-double, finishing with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists.

LaMelo Ball paced the struggling Hornets (14-47) with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Miles Bridges contributed 23 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, but Charlotte lost its eighth straight game.

Minnesota took control early, grabbing the lead with 5:40 left in the first quarter and never relinquishing it. By halftime, the Timberwolves held a 65-58 advantage, with Edwards tallying 16 points in the first two quarters.

The Timberwolves pulled away in the fourth quarter, using a 10-0 run to stretch a 12-point lead to 22. Minnesota’s outside shooting played a major role, as the team outscored Charlotte by 27 points from beyond the arc, making 21 three-pointers compared to the Hornets’ 12.

Donte DiVincenzo returned to the starting lineup after missing time with a toe injury and contributed 16 points. Naz Reid chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Charlotte has now suffered three separate eight-game losing streaks this season, including a 10-game skid earlier in the year.

Ball shot 11-of-28 from the field and 4-of-12 from deep, while Bridges struggled from three-point range, making just one of his eight attempts. Seth Curry provided a boost off the bench with 14 points and four three-pointers.

The Timberwolves shot 48.9% from the field and 42.9% from three, while Charlotte finished at 44.2% overall and 28.6% from beyond the arc. Minnesota also won the rebounding battle 50-47.
