The Cleveland Cavaliers finished the season series against the Boston Celtics with a 2-2 split after a remarkable come-from-behind victory on Friday.
According to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, the Celtics initially dominated, jumping to a 25-3 lead in the first quarter, which could have easily led to a blowout.
However, Cleveland showed resilience and managed to stage their largest comeback in 11 years, securing the win.
Key contributions from Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley played a crucial role in the Cavaliers’ comeback effort and eventual victory.
“The game rewards people when they stick with it,” Mobley said. “Just believe in myself, that’s the biggest thing. When you believe in yourself, you feel like you can do anything.
“Even with this slow start to the game, just believing in myself the entire game and eventually things started falling, and I think that’s the biggest factor in getting where you want to get to.“
