Bob Myers built a dynasty with the Golden State Warriors, shaping a championship culture that led to four NBA titles. Now, after stepping away from Golden State’s front office, his name continues to carry weight across the league.

NBA insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson reported that multiple teams, including the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets, have been linked to Myers as they look to solidify their front-office direction. With his executive experience, strong player relationships, and proven track record, he remains one of the most respected figures in NBA circles.

Myers played a key role in assembling the Warriors’ core, drafting and signing players who became pivotal to their success. He helped orchestrate the acquisitions of Kevin Durant and Andrew Wiggins while maintaining strong relationships with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. His ability to balance business decisions with team chemistry set Golden State apart as a model franchise.

His success extended beyond roster construction. He twice won NBA Executive of the Year, first in 2015 after hiring Steve Kerr and extending Thompson instead of trading him for Kevin Love. He earned the honor again in 2017 after signing Durant and other key role players who helped Golden State dominate the league.

After stepping down as Warriors president and general manager in May 2023, Myers transitioned to media, joining ESPN’s NBA Countdown as an analyst. However, his leadership skills soon attracted attention from another sport. In January 2024, he joined the NFL’s Washington Commanders as an advisor, helping owner Josh Harris reshape the franchise by assisting in the hires of general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn.

His involvement in both the NBA and NFL highlights his adaptability and strategic mind. It also reinforces why multiple NBA teams view him as a valuable asset, whether in a consulting role or a potential front-office return. Robinson noted that organizations seeking long-term stability could benefit from his insight.

Philadelphia is at a crossroads, balancing title aspirations around reigning MVP Joel Embiid while navigating crucial roster decisions. Brooklyn, meanwhile, is in search of direction in the post-Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving era. Myers’ expertise in roster building and front-office management could be instrumental in shaping either franchise’s future.

Even without an official executive position, Myers’ influence remains strong. His perspective is highly respected across the league, and his championship pedigree makes him an attractive figure for teams looking to establish themselves among the NBA’s elite.

While it remains to be seen whether he will take on a full-time role, Myers’ name is expected to surface frequently in discussions about front-office leadership. As teams continue to seek stability and vision, one of the league’s most trusted minds could once again find himself at the center of the NBA’s power structure.
