Giannis Antetokounmpo announced his intention to represent Greece in the upcoming EuroBasket tournament this summer, although he clarified that his participation would depend on his health.
“If I am healthy, I will be there,” Antetokounmpo said regarding his plans for this summer.
The Milwaukee Bucks superstar also expressed confidence in Greece’s prospects for success at EuroBasket, noting his optimism about their chances to win the tournament.
“I thought we could have won a medal two years ago in the EuroBasket, but we had to play Germany twice, which is a great team,” Antetokounmpo shared, reflecting on the past competition.
EuroBasket 2025 is scheduled to run from August 27 to September 14, with the tournament being co-hosted by Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland.
