The Washington Wizards have signed guard Erik Stevenson to a 10-day contract, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto. To make room for the move, the team released Jaylen Nowell from his 10-day deal.

Stevenson, who went undrafted in 2023, has bounced around multiple teams in the NBA and overseas. He previously spent time with the San Antonio Spurs, Texas Legends, and Cholet of the LNB Élite before returning to the Wizards’ system.

The 25-year-old guard has been a standout performer for the Capital City Go-Go in the G League this season. In 23.9 minutes per game, he has averaged 17.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.

Washington, currently 9-45, holds the NBA’s worst record and is in the midst of a full-scale rebuild. With limited backcourt depth, the team is giving Stevenson an opportunity to showcase his skills at the NBA level.

Stevenson previously signed with the Wizards during the 2024 offseason but was waived shortly after. He then joined their G League affiliate, where he quickly established himself as a productive scorer.

His journey has included a brief stint in the French league, where he played four games for Cholet. Before that, he had a solid showing with the Texas Legends, averaging 10.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.
