The Los Angeles Clippers secured a 110-93 victory over the Washington Wizards on Thursday night, led by James Harden’s triple-double and a balanced offensive attack. The Clippers improved to 25-19, while the Wizards dropped to a league-worst 6-37.

Harden tallied 17 points, 13 assists, and 12 rebounds, marking his 79th career triple-double and moving past Wilt Chamberlain for the eighth-most in NBA history. Norman Powell added a team-high 22 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, while Derrick Jones Jr. contributed 19 points and eight rebounds.

Kawhi Leonard scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 24 minutes before exiting late in the third quarter to manage his surgically repaired knee. The Clippers, who had their full lineup available after a short-handed loss to the Boston Celtics, registered 29 assists on 40 made shots.

Jordan Poole paced the Wizards with 24 points and nine assists, but Washington’s struggles continued as they suffered their 12th consecutive loss. Kyle Kuzma added seven points, while rookie Alex Sarr had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Clippers controlled the game from the outset, opening with a 30-20 lead after the first quarter. They maintained their dominance in the second quarter, taking a 63-41 advantage into halftime. Despite a brief 12-point fourth-quarter surge by the Wizards, Powell’s eight-point burst during a decisive 10-0 run sealed the victory.

Los Angeles benefitted from efficient shooting, hitting 45.5% from the field and 94.4% from the free-throw line. Their defense held Washington to just 34% shooting and a lackluster 23.9% from three-point range. The Wizards had five players in double figures but could not sustain any consistent offense.

The Clippers’ bench made a notable impact, with Mo Bamba scoring 13 points and blocking five shots in just 15 minutes of play. Amir Coffey added 10 points and two three-pointers off the bench.

For Washington, turnovers proved costly, with their 15 giveaways leading to 20 Clippers points. Despite Poole’s strong showing, the Wizards failed to find offensive rhythm, recording just one meaningful 8-0 run in the game.
