Jalen Green delivered an impressive performance with 34 points, including six three-pointers, as the Houston Rockets cruised past the Denver Nuggets 128-108 on Wednesday night. Houston improved its record to 27-12, solidifying its position as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference.

The Rockets’ balanced attack also featured Alperen Sengun’s near triple-double with 20 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists.

Fred VanVleet chipped in 16 points, eight assists, and three steals, while Houston’s defense forced 18 turnovers from Denver. The victory marked the Rockets’ fifth win in a row.

Denver, playing without reigning MVP Nikola Jokic (elbow inflammation) and Aaron Gordon (calf injury), struggled to keep up. Jamal Murray and Christian Braun led the Nuggets with 22 points each, but their combined 10 turnovers contributed to Denver’s most lopsided loss since November.

The Rockets shot 52.1% from the field and 44.7% from beyond the arc, with Green and Sengun leading the charge. Cam Whitmore added 16 points off the bench, helping Houston control the pace and maintain a double-digit lead for most of the game.

Despite efficient shooting from the Nuggets, who hit 53.3% of their shots and 48.3% of their threes, their depleted roster couldn’t overcome Houston’s depth. Russell Westbrook added 17 points, while Michael Porter Jr. struggled with just eight points in 23 minutes.

The Rockets have now won 10 of their last 13 games, asserting themselves as one of the league’s top teams. Their defensive intensity and Green’s offensive firepower have been key factors during this stretch.

For Denver, the loss snapped an eight-game streak of competitive outings and highlighted the challenges of playing without their star players. The Nuggets dropped to 24-16 and remain in a tight race within the Western Conference standings.
