Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted 33 points and 11 rebounds as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Boston Celtics 105-92 on Sunday. The Thunder’s victory marked their 15th consecutive win, setting a new franchise record.

Oklahoma City improved to 30-5 on the season, continuing their dominant run since December 1. The team’s loss in the NBA Cup final to Milwaukee does not impact their regular-season record.

Boston started strong, leading 65-55 at halftime behind Jayson Tatum’s 26 points and 10 rebounds. However, the defending NBA champions faltered in the second half, scoring a season-low 27 points, including just 12 in the fourth quarter.

Gilgeous-Alexander ignited the Thunder’s offense early with nine points in the opening minutes, but the team trailed for much of the game. Key contributions from Luguentz Dort, who scored 14 points and hit four three-pointers, and Aaron Wiggins, who added 15 points off the bench, powered Oklahoma City’s comeback.

The Thunder took control in the final quarter, with Jalen Williams’ free throws giving them their first lead since the opening frame. Dort’s back-to-back threes extended the lead to 12 points with under two minutes remaining, sealing the win.

Boston’s struggles from beyond the arc proved costly, as they made just 9 of 46 three-point attempts. Jaylen Brown scored 21 points but was held scoreless in the second half, missing all seven of his shots after the break.

Oklahoma City’s defense stifled the Celtics, forcing 16 turnovers and recording 11 steals. The Thunder’s balanced attack featured contributions from Isaiah Hartenstein, who grabbed 10 rebounds, and rookie Cason Wallace, who chipped in 13 points.

For the Celtics, the loss dropped them to 26-10 on the season.
