The Oklahoma City Thunder extended their winning streak to 14 games with a 117-107 victory over the New York Knicks on Friday night. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered a dominant performance, scoring 33 points on 12-of-26 shooting, while adding seven assists and four rebounds.
The Thunder, now 29-5, overcame an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Aaron Wiggins sparked the comeback, scoring 15 of his 19 points in the final period, including three three-pointers and a critical three-point play during a decisive 25-10 run.
Jalen Williams contributed 20 points and five assists for Oklahoma City, while Isaiah Hartenstein, facing his former team, had 14 rebounds, seven assists, and four points. The Thunder shot an impressive 51.9% from beyond the arc, converting 14 of their 27 three-point attempts.
The Knicks, who fell to 24-11, saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end. Mikal Bridges led New York with 24 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns dominated the boards with 22 rebounds to go along with 17 points. Jalen Brunson scored 22, OG Anunoby added 20, and Josh Hart chipped in 19.
New York built a 66-54 halftime lead and held an 88-80 advantage entering the final period. However, their defense faltered in the fourth quarter as Oklahoma City dictated the tempo and outscored the Knicks 37-19.
Wiggins’ heroics came at a critical juncture, with Oklahoma City trailing 97-92 midway through the fourth. The Thunder’s bench provided significant support, including Isaiah Joe’s seven points and Kenrich Williams’ four points and two rebounds in limited minutes.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma City capitalized on New York’s struggles from three-point range, as the Knicks hit just 9-of-32 attempts (28.1%).
