The Detroit Pistons secured a 105-96 victory over the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, with all five starters reaching double figures. Jaden Ivey led the way with 22 points before leaving the game with a serious leg injury.

The Pistons built an early lead, cruising to a 73-55 advantage midway through the third quarter. However, turnovers allowed Orlando to cut the deficit to 80-75 before Detroit regrouped to close out the game.

Cade Cunningham contributed 19 points and nine assists, orchestrating Detroit’s offense despite a quieter rebounding effort. Jalen Duren added 18 points and 11 rebounds, anchoring the paint on both ends of the floor.

Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 12 points, including nine critical ones in the fourth quarter to fend off the Magic’s comeback attempt. Tobias Harris rounded out the starters with 17 points and eight rebounds.

The Pistons’ bench struggled offensively, shooting a combined 6-for-24 from the field. Detroit’s defense, however, forced 12 turnovers and limited Orlando to 40.7% shooting.

Jalen Suggs paced the Magic with 24 points, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 21 on an efficient 8-for-11 shooting. Despite their efforts, Orlando’s poor three-point shooting (22.9%) and inability to capitalize on Detroit’s 24 turnovers proved costly.

Ivey’s injury occurred early in the fourth quarter when Orlando’s Cole Anthony accidentally collided with his leg while diving for a loose ball. The 22-year-old was stretchered off, and the severity of the injury remains unknown.

Detroit improved to 15-18 with the win, continuing a stretch of four victories in their last five games. The Magic, now 20-15, have dropped six of their last nine contests, struggling to find consistency.

Orlando’s struggles were compounded by absences, including brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner, who are sidelined with injuries.

The Pistons dominated the glass, out-rebounding Orlando 49-33 and scoring 44 points in the paint. Cunningham and Duren combined for 18 rebounds, controlling key possessions down the stretch.
