Stephen Curry scored 11 consecutive points in the fourth quarter, finishing with 31 on the night, as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-103 on Saturday. The Warriors improved to 15-12, while the Timberwolves fell to 14-13.

Curry, who connected on seven three-pointers, also dished out 10 assists to lead the Warriors. Trayce Jackson-Davis contributed 15 points and nine rebounds, while rookie Brandin Podziemski added 12 points off the bench.

Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo each recorded 19 points for Minnesota, with Rudy Gobert adding 18 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.

The Warriors built a commanding 36-15 lead in the first quarter, holding the Timberwolves to 27.3% shooting in each of the first two quarters. Despite the early deficit, Minnesota rallied in the third quarter, scoring 38 points and briefly taking the lead twice.

With the game hanging in the balance at 96-94 and just under four minutes to play, Curry delivered. After Minnesota’s Edwards missed a crucial free throw, Curry drained a three-pointer on the ensuing possession. He followed that with another pair of free throws and two more three-pointers in a 90-second stretch, giving Golden State a 107-96 advantage.

Golden State’s defense, which had struggled two nights earlier in a blowout loss to Memphis, held Minnesota to 41.9% shooting overall. The Warriors also limited the Timberwolves to just 20% shooting on non-dunk attempts in the first half.

Jackson-Davis and Podziemski provided critical support for Curry, combining for 27 points and 16 rebounds. Meanwhile, the Warriors’ bench contributed 46 points, including 11 each from Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga.

Minnesota’s poor shooting early in the game proved costly, as the Timberwolves made just 8 of 40 field goal attempts outside of dunks in the first half. Jaden McDaniels and Julius Randle struggled offensively, shooting a combined 8-for-25 from the field.
