The Chicago Bulls snapped a two-game skid with a decisive 109-95 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night. Chicago’s cohesive performance highlighted contributions across the roster, pushing the team to an 11-15 record for the season.
Josh Giddey flirted with a triple-double, recording 17 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists while knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. Ayo Dosunmu led the scoring charge with 19 points and three triples of his own, while Coby White added 18 points to maintain Chicago’s offensive rhythm.
The Bulls established control early and never relinquished the lead, holding Charlotte to just 35.7% shooting from the field. Chicago also showcased its defensive prowess, setting a season-high with 11 blocked shots. Jalen Smith was a key factor, tallying five rejections along with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
On the Hornets’ side, Brandon Miller stood out with a game-high 21 points, though his 3-for-15 shooting from deep highlighted Charlotte’s struggles from beyond the arc. Mark Williams chipped in 15 points, while Miles Bridges contributed 14 points and nine rebounds in his return after a 10-game absence.
LaMelo Ball’s absence continued to hinder the Hornets, who fell to 7-18 on the season. The star guard missed his seventh straight game due to a left calf strain, leaving Charlotte without its primary offensive engine.
Charlotte attempted to close the gap in the second half but was repeatedly stymied by Chicago’s defense. The Bulls’ bench provided a spark, with Lonzo Ball adding 10 points and seven rebounds in just under 20 minutes. Rookie Julian Phillips also impressed, scoring eight points on 3-of-5 shooting.
