Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler led the Miami Heat to a 121-111 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday night. Adebayo delivered 25 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists, while Butler added 24 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
The Heat improved to 11-10, surpassing the .500 mark, with Adebayo reaching his season-high scoring total at home. Miami outscored Phoenix 68-53 in the second half and dominated the paint with a 62-32 advantage.
Duncan Robinson contributed 19 points, including five three-pointers, while Tyler Herro added 17 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Miami has now won three consecutive home games for the first time this season.
The Suns, now 12-10, struggled without Kevin Durant and Jusuf Nurkic, both sidelined due to injuries. Royce O’Neale led Phoenix with 23 points, while Devin Booker scored 21 and Grayson Allen added 16.
Despite a strong start, Phoenix faltered in the second half, unable to contain Miami’s offensive surge. The Suns’ interior defense was exposed, as they fell to 0-8 this season when allowing 120 points or more.
Phoenix has now lost seven consecutive games without Durant, underscoring the challenges of playing without their star forward. Bradley Beal added 15 points for the Suns but shot just 5-of-18 from the field.
Adebayo’s performance marked his third game this season with 25 points or more, and Miami has won all three of those contests. The Heat also showcased their defensive prowess, improving to 10-3 when holding opponents under 115 points.
