The Oklahoma City Thunder (13-4) delivered a dominant 130-109 victory over the Sacramento Kings (8-10) on Monday night, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s career-high 37 points and Jalen Williams’ 28-point performance.
Oklahoma City extended Sacramento’s losing streak to four games as they capitalized on a powerful second half. Gilgeous-Alexander was in prime form, finishing with 37 points, 11 assists, and a perfect 7-of-11 from the free-throw line. Williams was equally effective, scoring 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting.
The Thunder’s bench made a significant impact, contributing 40 points, a stark contrast to the Kings’ bench, which scored just 20. Isaiah Hartenstein, back from injury, added 17 points and 10 rebounds to help fuel the Thunder’s balanced attack.
The game saw a competitive first half, with the lead changing hands 15 times. However, after Sacramento trailed by just one point at halftime, Oklahoma City’s depth and offensive execution allowed them to pull away in the second half.
The Thunder shot 55.8% from the field, including 45.2% from beyond the arc.
DeMar DeRozan led the Kings with 30 points, including 19 in the first half, but struggled in the second half. Despite a solid performance from Domantas Sabonis (21 points, 10 rebounds), Sacramento was unable to overcome foul trouble and inconsistent shooting.
The Kings’ struggles were compounded by De’Aaron Fox, who scored just 14 points on 5-of-15 shooting, far below his 28.9 points per game average. The Kings also shot a mere 25% from 3-point range, severely limiting their scoring options.
