Toronto Raptors star RJ Barrett had high praise for the big man play of Jakob Poeltl following last night’s 99-95 NBA Cup home loss vs. the Detroit Pistons (25 points/18 rebounds/3 assists/1 steal/3 blocks/12-20 FG/1-4 FT/+6 +/-).

“He’s a beast. We’re a team that likes to get in the paint, so I think a lot of times we’re getting in the paint, we’re finding him, and he’s gonna float people to death. And then at the same time if we go take the ball up strong and miss a shot, he’s there. The big man tries to go block, he’s there for the rebound. He’s getting those rebounds and he’s finishing. He’s blocking shots on the other end and fighting. So, Jak’s doing a lot of things out there for us.”
