In a close contest, the Brooklyn Nets defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 107-105, powered by a balanced attack that saw seven players scoring in double digits. Cam Thomas led Brooklyn with 17 points, including a crucial three-pointer in the final minute to secure the win.

The victory brings the Nets’ record to 5-6 while extending the Pelicans’ losing streak to five games, leaving them at 3-8.

Thomas scored 10 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, hitting a decisive three-pointer over Pelicans forward Javonte Green with 32.5 seconds left to give Brooklyn a 106-105 lead.

Cameron Johnson and Noah Clowney each contributed 15 points, and Dennis Schroder added 14 as Brooklyn snapped its two-game losing streak.

New Orleans missed its final eight shots, allowing Brooklyn to regain control. Yves Missi, a rookie center, notched career highs with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 24 points but managed only two free throws in the second half.

Brooklyn demonstrated consistent scoring distribution throughout the game. Alongside Thomas, Johnson, and Clowney, Nets players Ziaire Williams, Nic Claxton, Jalen Wilson, and Ben Simmons each scored over 10 points.

Simmons, in particular, facilitated Brooklyn’s offense with a team-high 12 assists, while Clowney hit five three-pointers after totaling just seven this season.

Brooklyn’s win was marked by effective long-range shooting, with the team making 45.2% of its three-point attempts and outscoring New Orleans 57-30 from deep.
