Detroit Pistons guard/forward Ausar Thompson has officially been cleared to return to play by the NBA’s fitness-to-play panel.
Thompson, the fifth overall selection in the 2023 NBA Draft, has been out since March due to a blood clot issue, which raised serious health concerns and required extensive monitoring.
Now, with clearance granted, he will begin a structured ramp-up process, focusing on conditioning, skill work, and team practices to ensure he’s game-ready.
