Charlotte Hornets head coach Charles Lee applauded Tre Mann’s play on both ends following last night’s 111-109 preseason home loss vs. the New York Knicks (15 points/3 rebounds/2 assists/6-8 FG/3-4 3-PT).

Reporter: “You talked at camp about Tre Mann making an impact both on offense and on defense, what did you think about how he carried that over to tonight?”
Lee: “I thought he just had another great day. You guys got to see him guard at a really high level. His shift activity coming in. I thought he stuck his nose in there for a couple rebounds. He got 3 defensive rebounds it looks like. So I just think Tre knows who he is as an offensive player. We’ve talked about, ‘How do you get more catch-and-shoot opportunities? Can you play off the ball?’ Because as you saw with the ball, he’s really dynamic. His playmaking skills for himself and for his teammates is really good, but I’ve continued to be impressed with his defense, too.”
