Justin Holiday is one of several veteran free agents who have recently worked out for the Warriors, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. Slater also confirmed that Nassir Little had a workout with Golden State, as previously reported.

Holiday, 35, played for the Nuggets last season, averaging 4.0 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 58 games while shooting .454/.404/.750.

Over his 11-year NBA career, he’s been a journeyman, playing for 10 different teams, including a stint with the Warriors in 2014/15. His career averages are 8.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 680 games (296 starts).

Despite the recent workout, a reunion with the Warriors is unlikely. Slater notes that the team doesn’t plan to fill their 15th roster spot due to being hard-capped for the 2024/25 season.

While there’s a slim chance a veteran could outperform Gui Santos or Lindy Waters – both on non-guaranteed deals – in camp, Slater doubts either will be released.

Slater also gave an update on No. 52 pick Quinten Post, who is expected to sign a two-way contract. This would require the Warriors to cut one of their current two-way players: Pat Spencer, Reece Beekman, or Daeqwon Plowden.

Notably, Orlando’s G League affiliate recently traded for Plowden’s rights, suggesting they don’t expect him to stay with the Warriors all season.
