Max Christie, who re-signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year, $32 million deal, earlier this offseason, discussed his decision.
In an interview with Spectrum SportsNet, Christie expressed his enthusiasm for staying with the team.
“I wanted to come back,” Christie said. “We’re building something great here with LeBron and AD, and I’m excited about the new coaching staff. I’ve been getting along with them really well.”
Christie also reflected on his second NBA season and his offseason focus. He highlighted the importance of mental preparation and increased confidence as key areas of development.
“I worked on my mental game this summer,” Christie noted. “I feel confident and ready to put my skills into action. Offensively, I shoot well, and defensively, my athleticism and instincts are strong.”
During his sophomore season, Christie averaged 4.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per game for the Lakers.
