Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis accompanied Floyd Mayweather to the ring before Mayweather’s exhibition fight against John Gotti III in Mexico, as reported by Alastair Talbot of Daily Mail.

Davis walked alongside Mayweather’s entourage on Saturday night, donning a flashy Mexican poncho marked with “TBE” (The Best Ever).

The 9-time NBA All-Star, who also stepped into the ring with Mayweather before the bout, was joined by his Lakers teammate Jarred Vanderbilt.

Rumors circulated that Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards would be present, but he was not seen with Mayweather’s entourage.

Davis and Edwards, both part of Team USA’s gold medal-winning squad at the Paris Olympics earlier this summer, showed their camaraderie and support for Mayweather.

Mayweather, 47, dominated the exhibition match against 31-year-old Gotti, the grandson of late crime boss John Gotti.

Though the fight was not officially scored, Mayweather landed numerous clean shots but did not significantly impact Gotti.
