Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins believes that two-way rookie Cam Spencer plays with a chip on his shoulder.
(via Memphis Grizzlies- Beyond Grit):
“With Cam, we love his winning mentality. We love his thrive to win. He doesn’t care about the stat line. He focuses on, ‘What hustle play can I make? How can I set up a teammate for success? How can I space the floor to knock down that shot?’ Because he’s got elite three-point shooting ability. ‘How can I be that guy that’s in the right spot at all times on the defensive side to be a great team defender?’ For a guy that’s gone from Loyola to Rutgers to winning the national championship at UConn, he hasn’t changed his mentality. He’s always going out there with a chip on his shoulder.”
