Karl-Anthony Towns recently shared a humorous account of teammate Anthony Edwards’ reaction to Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch’s knee injury.

The incident occurred during the Timberwolves’ first-round series against the Phoenix Suns in the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

During Game 4 of the series, with 1:41 remaining, Finch suffered a patellar tendon rupture after Timberwolves guard Mike Conley collided with him. Conley was fouled by Suns guard Devin Booker, causing him to accidentally crash into Finch.

The unexpected injury forced Finch to leave the game, and assistant coach Micah Nori took over as interim head coach for the remainder of the match.

Towns shared Edwards’ reaction to the situation while appearing on Podcast P with Paul George. According to Towns, Edwards was both concerned and amused by the incident, commenting, “If this is what getting old look like, I don’t wanna get old.”

Towns recalled his response to Edwards, explaining that Finch’s injury was the result of being hit in the knee, to which Edwards humorously replied, “I don’t care.”
