Lithuanian champions Lietuvos Rytas started building the team for the return to Euroleague. 23-year-old 2.09m Serbian center Dejan Borovnjak was announced as the first new signing of the club. Borovnjak arrives from Vojvodina Novi Sad where he was one of the top scorers with 12.2 points per game also taking 6.7 rebounds.
Dejan Borovnjak will become the second Serbian player on Rytas roster joining his compatriot Milko Bjelica. After the departure of Chuck Eidson the rest of the squad is Lithuanian.
