The Los Angeles Lakers are actively exploring the possibility of former player JJ Redick as a head coaching candidate, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski revealed that the Purple and Gold have been reaching out and making inquiries about Redick’s potential as a head coach.

“They’re making calls and trying to get a sense of what a head coach, head coach JJ Redick would look like, but this is going to be a long search. They’re going to talk to a lot of candidates,” Wojnarowski stated on Sports Center, via HoopsHype.

The Lakers’ pursuit of Redick comes after the team parted ways with Darvin Ham following their early exit from the playoffs.

As the Lakers embark on their search for a new head coach, Redick emerges as one of the notable candidates under consideration.
