Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle compared the point guard play of Tyrese Haliburton to Mark Jackson after last night’s 126-112 home win vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder (Haliburton broke Jackson’s single-season franchise assist record during the game with his 714th dime).

(via Indiana Pacers):

“He’s gonna shatter that record even more next year when he doesn’t miss fifteen games or whatever it is or twelve or fourteen or whatever it’s been. Mark was a great player. Mark was top two or three all-time in assists for a while. He was a real master, and Tyrese has a lot of the same qualities. He has the vision. He knows his personnel. He has a great sense for timing, when to deliver the ball, how to deliver it. So that record stood for a long time, and Mark Jackson was that good player here.”
