Donte DiVincenzo led the New York Knicks (43-28) to a commanding 124-99 victory over the Detroit Pistons (12-60) on Monday night, erupting for a career-high 40 points.

DiVincenzo broke the franchise record for most three-pointers in a single game with 11, surpassing the previous mark held by J.R. Smith and Evan Fournier.

Jalen Brunson provided valuable support for the Knicks with 28 points, while Josh Hart recorded a triple-double with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Missing Cade Cunningham, the Pistons struggled to contain the Knicks’ offensive onslaught, as they fell behind early and were unable to mount a significant comeback.

Marcus Strasser led Detroit with 24 points, while former Knick Fournier added 15 off the bench, and James Wiseman contributed a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The victory extends the Knicks’ recent surge in form, with the team winning six of their last seven games as they continue to the chase of third-place Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference.
