Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 30-point performance on Tuesday night etched his name in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s record books.

Despite the Thunder’s loss to the Indiana Pacers, Gilgeous-Alexander’s 30-point outing marked his 48th game with 30 or more points this season, surpassing Kevin Durant’s previous record of 47.

In a postgame interview, Gilgeous-Alexander expressed humility and gratitude for the achievement, acknowledging Durant’s legendary status with the Thunder.

“It’s cool. It’s an honor. Obviously, Kev’s done some amazing things here in his career. To be in those types of conversation with him is a blessing,” the MVP candidate said.

Throughout the season, Gilgeous-Alexander has consistently delivered standout performances, solidifying his status as one of the league’s premier talents.

This season he is averaging 31.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 34.4 minutes per game.
