Zion Williamson and Trey Murphy III guided the New Orleans Pelicans (39-25) to a 116-103 victory over the Atlanta Hawks (29-35), combining for 55 points.

Williamson’s impactful performance, which included 27 points, six rebounds, and seven assists, played a pivotal role in the Pelicans’ fourth consecutive win, breaking the Hawks’ three-game winning streak.

Trey Murphy III emerged as a significant contributor off the bench, tallying 28 points and seven rebounds. CJ McCollum contributed 20 points, sinking four three-pointers.

Despite missing key starters Trae Young and Jalen Johnson, the Hawks fought valiantly, with Bogdan Bogdanovic leading the charge with 25 points, supported by Dejounte Murray’s 23 points and 11 assists. Clint Capela added a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

The game took a concerning turn for the Hawks when Saddiq Bey suffered a left knee injury in the fourth quarter, adding to their roster woes.

New Orleans capitalized on their strong first-half performance, maintaining a double-digit lead throughout the game, thanks to their stifling defense and efficient shooting.
