Alex Rodriguez is addressing the speculation surrounding his noticeably tanned appearance that stirred conversations on social media.
During the Timberwolves’ 112-107 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in Minneapolis, where Rodriguez was seated courtside with his fitness instructor girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro, and ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, observers couldn’t help but notice his unusually darker complexion.
Responding to the curiosity of his 4.2 million Instagram followers on Saturday night, the 48-year-old clarified that his deeper tan was a result of falling asleep in the sun.
“All right everybody, I know that I’m dark, but I am Dominican, and I went on vacation and I fell asleep in the sun. So everybody calm down,” Rodriguez said in a video which he captioned, “Everybody calm down, it’s just a tan,” with an emoji of the Dominican Republic flag.
