The Milwaukee Bucks have reached an agreement to acquire Patrick Beverley from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Cameron Payne and a second-round pick in 2027.

Beverley is expected to provide the Bucks with an enhanced defensive presence in the backcourt. In addition to Beverley, the Bucks had expressed interest in Kris Dunn and Naji Marshall.

The Sixers’ decision to trade Beverley might be linked to their optimism about potentially signing Kyle Lowry if he becomes available through a buyout with the Charlotte Hornets.
