As the Los Angeles Lakers (20-21) explore potential trades ahead of the February 8 deadline, forward Jarred Vanderbilt believes the team can reverse its fortunes from within, without major trades. Reportedly, one major target for the Purple and Gold is Dejounte Murray.

Vanderbilt expressed confidence in the team’s internal capabilities, stating, “With us, it’s just difficult ’cause people are in and out of the lineup due to injury or whatever, so it’s tough. We’re still trying to build that camaraderie, but within ourselves.”

Acknowledging the challenges posed by injuries and lineup changes, Vanderbilt remains optimistic about the Lakers’ ability to establish consistent continuity without external additions.

The Lakers have been plagued by injuries, impacting their ability to maintain a stable lineup and build team chemistry throughout the season.

Vanderbilt emphasized the team’s internal potential, stating, “I do believe it is capable – we are capable – of doing it internally.”

The Lakers are currently in the 10th place in the Western Conference after beating the Oklahoma City Thunder.
