Marcus Smart has encountered a serious injury to his right ring finger, leading to a minimum six-week absence from the Grizzlies, as per Shams Charania from The Athletic.

Memphis officially announced the injury, specifying that Smart suffered a “rupture of the proximal interphalangeal joint central slip” during Tuesday’s game against Dallas. A reassessment of his condition will take place after six weeks.
