The short-handed Utah Jazz (11-18) triumphed over the struggling Detroit Pistons (2-26) with a 119-111 victory on Thursday night, pushing the Pistons perilously close to an NBA single-season record.

Kelly Olynyk led the charge for the Jazz, scoring an impressive 25 points, while Detroit faced its 25th consecutive loss, just one short of the NBA single-season record shared by the 2010-11 Cleveland Cavaliers and the 2013-14 Philadelphia 76ers.

Despite Utah playing without key contributors like Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, Keyonte George, and Talen Horton-Tucker, they showcased resilience.

With the Pistons at 2-26, frustration echoed through the crowd, chanting “Sell the team! Sell the team!” in a poignant message to owner Tom Gores and Platinum Equity.

Collin Sexton contributed 19 points for the Jazz, and Ochai Agbaji added 18. Jaden Ivey and Marvin Bagley III led the Pistons with 24 and 22 points, respectively.
