Former NBA player Royce White has officially thrown his hat into the political ring, announcing his candidacy for the United States Senate in 2024.

In a tweet, White declared, “I’m running for United States Senate in 2024. We have to fight to win, but understand this is a referendum. No more buzz words, no more happy talk, no more politically correct. Our politics in this country are incorrect and they have been for a very long time. No More! #Godspeed.”

This marks White’s second foray into politics, as he previously aimed for the Republican nomination for the United States House of Representatives in Minnesota’s 5th congressional district in 2022.

Despite endorsements from former President Donald Trump’s advisor, Steve Bannon, and appearances on Alex Jones’ radio show, White lost the Republican primary to Cicely Davis.
