NBA teams now boast an average valuation of $4 billion, marking a significant 33% increase from last year, according to Sportico. Over the past three years, the average team valuation has surged by 70%.

The Golden State Warriors lead the NBA in franchise value at $8.28 billion, followed by the New York Knicks at $7.43 billion and the Los Angeles Lakers at $7.34 billion. Interestingly, only the Dallas Cowboys surpass these NBA franchises globally.

In total, the NBA’s 30 teams, inclusive of related businesses and owner-held real estate, are collectively valued at $120 billion. The league maintains the highest average value-to-revenue multiple among major sports leagues, with an impressive 11.0, outpacing the NFL’s 8.8 and the MLS’s 6.5.
