Tony Parker announced in a press conference that in 2018, he will open a brand new basketball Academy in Lyon.
Parker is the current president of ASVEL Villeurbanne-Lyon since 2014.
The Academy will have five different structures: a training facility for ASVEL, a training center for 30 youngsters per year, an educational academy for youngsters, a school for referees and a campus with 400 house units.
The cost of the project is around €30 million (€4-5M just for the academy that will be built on a 14.000 square meter field).
The academy will be open for the entire year, will host a pro Summer League and can also host national teams.
The academy will be built in the area Gerland, close to the Stadium and the Arena.
