Facing no challenges against Maccabi Tel Aviv, the team that secured Game 1 of last year’s EuroLeague Playoffs series on the same court, AS Monaco secured their second consecutive victory in the Regular Season.

They dominated the Israeli powerhouse with a commanding 107-79 win, delighting their home crowd in the Principality.

In a significant moment, with 3 minutes and 11 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Mike James surpassed the 4,000-point mark by sinking a deep shot.

This achievement earned him a place in an exclusive club, alongside basketball greats Juan Carlos Navarro (4,152 points), Nando De Colo (currently active with 4,278 points), and Vassilis Spanoulis (4,455 points).

In the matchup against the Israeli team, James led the charge for AS Monaco, contributing 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Notably, he showcased his prowess from beyond the three-point line, making 4 out of 7 attempts in a playing time of 21 minutes and 23 seconds.

“It was a lot of fun, we shot the ball extremely well. We played one of the best games since I came here, probably. It helps that we didn’t really see the real Maccabi today, they’re going through a lot,” James commented in the post-game interview.

“I knew it because we’ve been talking about it. It’s nice, the win is good too tho,” he added about his historic accolade.
