The Raptors have inked a deal with free agent swingman Justise Winslow. To accommodate Winslow on the roster, the camp invitee Makur Maker has been waived. Maker is set to join the Raptors 905, Toronto’s G League affiliate.

Winslow, drafted 10th overall in 2015, has had stints with the Grizzlies, Clippers, and Trail Blazers after spending the first five years of his NBA career with the Miami Heat.

While his performance in the 2021/22 season for Portland, following the Norman Powell/Robert Covington trade, was commendable, his ’22/23 campaign was curtailed by an ankle injury that led to surgery in March.

Prior to the injury, the 27-year-old posted averages of 6.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 19 games (26.8 MPG) with shooting percentages of .409/.311/.714.
