Following the EuroLeague’s decision to suspend the matches of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv, FIBA has taken a similar stance.

The organization has declared the suspension of all games featuring Israeli teams until further notice.

This ruling encompasses five teams participating in EuroCup Women and FIBA Europe Cup competitions.

In view of the current security situation in Israel and following the recommendation of its security advisors, FIBA Europe has taken the decision to suspend all games involving Israeli teams in all competitions under its auspices and until further notice.

The decision affects immediately all upcoming home and away games of five Israeli teams in EuroCup Women and FIBA Europe Cup.

FIBA Europe, in close cooperation with the Israel Basketball Federation and the participating clubs, will continue to monitor the situation as it remains committed to prioritizing the safety and well-being of all participants and stakeholders.

The dates and times of any re-rescheduled fixtures will be confirmed as soon as the situation allows.
