Dennis Schroder concluded his remarkable journey at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 by securing the prestigious TISSOT Most Valuable Player award.

He achieved this accolade by leading Germany to their inaugural championship victory.

In the final match against Serbia, Schroder contributed 28 points to Germany’s 83-77 triumph. Remarkably, this marked the seventh time in eight games that the team captain had scored at least 14 points.

Over the course of the tournament, he maintained impressive averages of 19.1 points, 6.1 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game.

Schroder consistently dazzled throughout the competition, with one of his standout moments being a stellar performance of 30 points and 8 assists in Germany’s victory over Australia.

Additionally, he recorded a notable performance of 24 points and 10 assists against Slovenia.

This remarkable achievement at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 came on the heels of another outstanding performance on the grand stage, as Schroder had previously earned a spot on the All-Star 5 roster during the FIBA EuroBasket 2022, where Germany secured a third-place finish.
