According to kaunodiena.lt Loren Woods will return to Kaunas next season. 30-year-old American center had a short and successful spell at Zalgiris at the end of 2006-2007 season. His performances attracted top clubs in Europe and he left Lithuanian champions to sign with Efes Pilsen.
Woods played 16 games in Euroleague averaging 8 points per game for the Turkish side. Though he was among four players that refused to travel to Belgrade and was eventually released by the club. He was named Euroleague Week 11 MVP (see the video below).
Loren Woods finished last season in NBA in Houston Rockets. He played 7 regular season games with 0.9 points per game. Woods had one appearance in the first round of the playoffs and managed to score 2 points.
Zalgiris also announced that Marcus Brown will be staying with club after the deadline for him to leave has expired on Tuesday.
