Neemias Queta’s contract details with Kings revealed

The Sacramento Kings have retained Neemias Queta. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype shared that the contract is for two years, worth $4.2 million includes specific clauses for the upcoming seasons.

Scotto reports that the 24-year-old Portuguese big man’s deal features a partial guarantee for the 2023-24 season. His salary for the 2024-25 season remains non-guaranteed.

Despite earlier speculations linking Queta to other teams, such as Partizan Belgrade and the Portland Trail Blazers, the Kings have successfully solidified their relationship with the player.

Queta, who was selected as the 39th pick in the 2021 NBA draft, etched his name in history as the first Portuguese player to step onto the NBA court.

During the 2022-23 season, Queta showcased his potential while splitting time between the NBA and the Kings’ G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings.

His limited NBA appearances saw him averaging 2.4 points and 2.2 rebounds in just 5.8 minutes per game. However, it was in the G League where he truly flourished, boasting impressive averages of 16.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists across 29 games.
