Neemias Queta, the promising Portuguese big man, has caught the attention of two prominent basketball teams. According to Tomer Givati, Partizan Belgrade is closely monitoring Queta’s situation, while the Portland Trail Blazers have also entered the race to secure his services. The 24-year-old is currently a restricted free agent after spending time with the Sacramento Kings.
Drafted in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft with the 39th pick by the Kings, Queta made history as the first Portuguese player to enter the NBA. He split the 2022-23 season between the NBA and with the Kings’ G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings.
In his limited NBA appearances, Queta averaged 2.4 points and 2.2 rebounds in just 5.8 minutes per game. However, it was in the G League where he truly shined, averaging 16.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 29 games.
