Neemias Queta reflects on breakout performance after crushing Clippers

Boston Celtics’ Neemias Queta, a two-way player, recently delivered a career-defining performance, scoring a career-high 14 points and securing 12 rebounds, contributing significantly to the Celtics’ dominant 145-108 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

In what marks his third year in the NBA, Queta, a 24-year-old Portuguese center, has consistently been on two-way deals, patiently waiting for opportunities to showcase his skills.

Queta, who has been increasingly featured in the Celtics’ lineup, shared insights into his mindset.

“This is what I’ve been pretty much waiting on,” he said, per Gary Washburn of Boston Globe. “Being ready for these types of moments. I had two years to do that. And whenever it is my turn, just be ready, and everything works itself out. With time, the game’s just been slowing down for me, and I’m getting more comfortable on the court.”

Currently, Queta is maintaining averages of 6 points and 6.6 rebounds in 16 minutes per game for the Celtics this season.
